South Platte River

I think this is a really pretty spot!
It is located behind the REI Flagship store
between I-25 and Little Raven Street in Denver.
It's a man-made area on the river where
I have seen kayakers practicing.
I wonder if it can also be used by surfers???

As can been seen by the covered stairs,
the river is running a little high;
however, no where near the powerful display
I saw by the Colorado and Roaring Fork last weekend...
